After graduating from college with a degree in film and spending two years as a photographer and experimental filmmaker, I eventually began what was to become a successful 12-year career as a gaffer and lighting director, working in Miami, New York and Los Angeles. Feeling the need to be behind a camera again, in 1994 I shot my first feature film. While in Miami, I had the opportunity to work with Academy award winning director, David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada/Marley & Me/Hope Springs) as the 2nd unit DP on the CBS series Grapevine, which he wrote and directed. As this show was shot entirely on location, my responsibilities as a cinematographer were as varied as the changing weather. I was well prepared when I then traveled to New York to meet the demanding shooting schedule of John Graziano’s Mixed Signals. Facing 14 locations from Tuxedo, NY on camera cars to Manhattan under the stars, with a cast that included Beata Pozniak (JFK, Babylon 5), Jerry Adler (Soprano’s), and Peter Tork of The Monkeys. With over 25 years of experience working in the medium of film, I have over the past twelve years successfully made the transition into single and multi-camera HD Video. My work on large scale commercials, infomercials and corporate videos has taken me from the sound stages of Hollywood, New York and Orlando, to the sunny exteriors of Hawaii and Miami Beach, the mansions of Malibu and aboard the worlds largest cruise ships of the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe. Whether your shoot involves multiple cameras, and the coordination of large crews and lighting equipment, or a single camera interview, I bring the same level of professionalism and experience to every job I do.
